White Chocolate Covered Oreo balls

White Chocolate Covered Oreo balls

I used the recipe someone posted yesterday on the FB Group Page; “What’s cooking good looking”. (Btw, that group is addicting, email me if you want to join it, very helpful Arab-American foodie community)

1 package Oreos
1 block cream cheese
1 bag chocolate chips

Blend the Oreos in a food processor, then add the cream cheese and blend again til mixed well.
Form, by hand, into small balls. (I made mine the size of key limes) it made about 30.

Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave using 30 second intervals. Repeat 3 times.

Dunk each ball into the melted chocolate, with a spoon scoop it up, remove excess from under spoon, then with a thin skewer or tooth pick or fork, slide it gently off the spoon and onto a plate covered in plastic wrap.

If you want to garnish with sprinkles or nuts, I advise to do it while chocolate is still soft and melted. Sprinkle on top of the ball or rolls it in it.

When you are done, place in fridge for about an hour. Then serve.

These were so simple and easy, my kids were in charge of making the balls. I think next time I will try to add a hazelnut or macadamia nut in the middle. With milk chocolate chips and crushed peanuts or almonds on the outside.
