Ramadan Crafts: Eid Lollipops

Ramadan Crafts: Eid Lollipops

As an attempt to make Eid more fun and enjoyable for my kids, (here in KC it’s pretty lame, sad to say) I’m trying all kinds of things to get them involves in the celebration.

Enter Eid lollipop molds here.

My online friend Hanan has a page called Eid Molds (links to her Facebook page) sells these molds for $6 each and she has different designs. Also has pretzel and Oreo molds!

Please send her a FB message and she will take care of you :)

It is her small business and all your purchases from her are greatly appreciated.

I got one of each. If you would like to order some, let me know and I will pass her info on to you, or contact her through FB.

Back to the molds, I made these out of different colored candy melts/ chocolate. You can find the stuff u need at Walmart or any craft store like michaels or hobby lobby, or maybe even party city.

I chose red and yellow for the details, and white and milk chocolate for the rest of the candy.

I used a decorating bag, filled them with the candy melts, and in the microwave for about 1-2 mins, turning over every 30 seconds. Then I slightly snipped off the tips of the bags.

Tip: melt one color at a time, they get hard quickly.

Took about an hour carefully filling the details in. Then i took another hour carefully cleaning the details with a toothpick and a q-tip. I swear if you didn’t know me, you would think I had OCD or something. I guess all those years blinging the iPhone cases just kicked in by default.

Once the details are filled in, cleaned, and hardened, I placed the lollipop sticks in place then filled the rest with the base colored chocolate.

Leave them to harden then gently push out of the molds.

  3. CAn I make these ahead of time … will any thing bad happen to the candy? Thanks,

    • Yes they stay a long time. Individually wrapping them helps keep them last longer too

    My e-mail : sugarestq8@gmail.com

  7. Hey, so i tried using the molds and for some reason, the writing keeps sticking to the mold and not on the chocolate. What should i do? Google didn’t exactly help.

    • How long have u let it sit and cool? And did u fill the words to the brim? And maybe while filling the rest of the mold, not enough chocolate stuck to the wording? I’m not sure what happened exactly since I haven’t seen it. Try freezing the tray for a couple mins then breaking it out like an ice tray. Hope that helps

  8. Hey how long it takes to deliver toronto
