Hearty No-drain spaghetti with Crockpot recipe

Hearty No-drain spaghetti with Crockpot recipe

Very easy, very versatile, very yummy spaghetti recipe. No precooking spaghetti or draining and boiling here! One pot does the whole job.

Use any veggies you may have in the fridge, now that I think of it, kale and spinach would be a nice addition.

You can also use any kind of ground meat as well, I’m guessing ground chicken would give it a different flavor. Also you can form into meatballs, my husband would’ve preferred that!

Use any pasta sauce flavors you like. It’s your dish after al!!

This can also be used for any shape of pasta as well.

Ok enough talking, lets get to it!

1 box whole wheat spaghetti or linguine
2 24oz jars pasta sauce
1 lb ground meat (used beef)
1/2 bag frozen mixed vegetables
1 large zucchini, diced
1 large onion, sliced (I used red)
1/2 cup uncooked quinoa (optional)
1 tsp each of salt, paprika, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder
1-2 cups water

One-Pot method:
1. In a deep pot, add 1 tbsp canola/olive oil then add all the veggies you want to the pot.
2- once browned, add the ground beef and keep stirring until all is cooked and brown and no more pink. (You can also make the ground beef into meatballs of course )

3- add all the spices, and keep stirring.

4- add the two jars of pasta sauce to the pot, also add the quinoa and spaghetti now. It is easiest if you break it into 3 or 2 halves. Oh, don’t forget to add the 1-2 cups water.
5- let it simmer on medium heat for about 20-25 mins.
6- you will notice it starting to thicken up, keep stirring so it doesn’t stick to the pot.

And there you have it! Once pasta is done, serve hot and enjoy!

Crockpot Method:
1-Brown ground beef first, then dump all the ingredients into the crockpot.
2- cook on high for 3 hours or on low for 5-6.

Hope you try it 🙂
