Freezer-to-slow cooker Friendly Meals

Posted by on Oct 14, 2013 in LoaMP, Main Course, slow cooker/freeze ahead | 4 comments

I’ve been meaning to prepare lots of freezer-to-crockpot meals now for a while. So I actually got myself to the grocery store and bought all the things I needed (at last). Only thing I really needed and forgot were gallon sized ziploc bags but oh well. I chopped the chicken breasts and chicken thighs and mixed them together so it would be a bit more tender than if chicken breast only. Worked well .   Here are the recipes I used and how many bags of each: Stew Meat, 1 lb each, not marinated. 4 bags Sirloin steaks, 4 large pieces in each bag, 3 bags, marinated with steak seasoning Chipotle Chicken Marinade, 1 bag Cut Chicken for cooking. ( Cut up chicken thighs and breast with salt, pepper, garlic powder) Can be used for stews later on like...

Hearty No-drain spaghetti with Crockpot recipe

Posted by on Sep 10, 2013 in LoaMP, Main Course, Snack ideas/ kid friendly | 0 comments

Very easy, very versatile, very yummy spaghetti recipe. No precooking spaghetti or draining and boiling here! One pot does the whole job. Use any veggies you may have in the fridge, now that I think of it, kale and spinach would be a nice addition. You can also use any kind of ground meat as well, I’m guessing ground chicken would give it a different flavor. Also you can form into meatballs, my husband would’ve preferred that! Use any pasta sauce flavors you like. It’s your dish after al!! This can also be used for any shape of pasta as well. Ok enough talking, lets get to it! Ingredients: 1 box whole wheat spaghetti or linguine 2 24oz jars pasta sauce 1 lb ground meat (used beef) 1/2 bag frozen mixed vegetables 1 large zucchini, diced 1 large onion,...
